Second cycle

It's been a rough week as the second cycle of chemo draws to an end. I am feeling very jaded, often exhausted after a few hours work, and certainly not too mentally sharp. There is a faint and distinctly unpleasant sensation of metallic miasma as I breathe, probably the residue of the capecitabine I take morning and evening. I am counting down the remaining few days. From Friday my body will slowly clear its drug residue as I await the start of the next cycle, with Avastin infusion on Tuesday. More cheerful postings will undoubtedly follow!

  1. Rest well Paul. Nanny naps in the afternoon are definitely acceptable during the rough stages of the cycles. Let's hope those nasty little cancer cells are feeling even worse than you are. Our love and thoughts are with you.
