The saga of the newspaper story played out finally this week, with an article that appeared in the weekly "giveaway" paper, the "Wellingtonian". This paper is a sister to the Dominion Post, and it is possible that the Post staff suggested the story to them. The Wellingtonian Editor, Joseph Romanos, came and chatted with me last week and the story below appeared on Monday. The really important aspect to me was the picture with the Magritek 2 MHz Rockcore Analyser, though anyone reading the article would still find that picture a mystery. The original story was supposed to be about how science can result in new business opportunities for New Zealand. But it seems that reporters will go to extraordinary lengths to avoid having to write about anything technical or scientific.
Can I have the last word here? The thing that really matters is the beautiful Rockcore Analyser, a result of the genius of the people at Magritek in partnership with the brilliant permanent magnet array designers at ACT Aachen. It is our latest and hottest product for the petrochemical industry and doing incredibly well. I am so proud to be associated with it!
The Wellingtonian was not bad! This is a giveaway paper - so what did you expect - some lengthy science? You looked very well in the photo (in the mid of chemo), Paul! Keep up the good spirit and keep writing..
