Q+A Interview

On Saturday night UK time I was interviewed live by the TVNZ Sunday morning programme Q+A. This magic occurred courtesy of the BBC studios in Cambridge where I sat in a darkened room looking into a camera surrounded by a halo of green laser beams (you can see them reflected in my glasses). This beam had the effect of mesmerising me, so that I would not dare look away from the camera, and creating an image of Kings College behind me. The BBC technican asked TVNZ if they would like Kings at night or in the daytime. They chose the latter. Catherine and Miang watched on from the BBC news studio.

The interview was on the prospects for the New Zealand economy following the credit downgrade by two agencies. Frankly, I was happy to leave the macroconomics to my fellow interviewee Gareth Morgan.
