In what was one of the most enjoyable parts of my stay here I met up with five brilliant Kiwi PhD students here in Cambridge. They are, from left Anna Dare (UoA) studying mitochondria and transplantation, Rachel Shaw (UoA) studying evolutionary psychology, Nathalie Saurat (UoO) studying microRNAs and gene expression, me, George Gordon (UoA) studying wireless communication between devices and Julian Peat (UoO) studying RNA interactions with cell components.We chatted for an hour or so in Trinity College where all except Rachel (Clare) are graduate students. Then we joined up later at the commercialisation seminar run in the Masters lodge by Sir Greg Winter, one of the great entrepreneur scientists of Cambridge University. I hope I managed to be of help to these wonderful young Kiwis. They certainly inspired me!
