Out of Surgery

This is Catherine here, Paul's daughter. Paul's surgery has now been completed, after approximately 9-10 hours in theatre. The surgeons managed to achieve complete tumour removal, although they found more disease than had initially been expected. They have given him a PCI of 11. He will be moved to the ICU shortly.

Miang and his sister Mary will be able to see him in a few hours, and we should have more to report then.

    Thanks so much Catherine for the update. Very relieved that Paul is safely out of surgery and wishing him now a strong recovery - he will be often in my thoughts during the next weeks of his recuperation.

    Catherine,thanks so much for the good news. I have been checking every several hours for news of Paul and am so pleased that he has made it through this very difficult surgery. Hopefully his recovery will not be too difficult.

    It is a relief to hear that Paul has this very difficult surgery behind him now. Let us hope that recovery will be as easy as it could possibly be.
