Miang and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary by taking an Air New Zealand "Mystery Weekend" package. They sent us to Queenstown, a fairly lucky outcome for us. The place really is beautiful. We climbed to the top of Queenstown Hill (950 m), had lunch in Arrowtown, of course sampling the famous Arrowtown pies, visited rural galleries (oh, the lifestyle of artists in Central Otago), drove to Glenorchy and Paradise (one of the more spectacular drives in New Zealand), and enjoyed the delights of Queenstown cafes and restaurants.
