Miang and I spent our Christmas at Waitarere Beach, along with Catherine, boyfriend Mike, and the family of Chris and Hiva. There were many magical moments with my grandson James, braving the waves, blowing bubbles in the breeze sweeping across the sand, and shelling peas for Christmas dinner.

wonderful photos from this blog and the previous one!!! James looked to be totally enthralled by the antics of his Granddad. It reminded me of many visits to Melbourne when our children were young. They eagerly hung off every word you read to them, every trick you showed them,and they have never forgotten. James and Thomas will surely grow up with the same treasured memories.
